About Iowa Learns
Managed by Iowa Public Television, Iowa Learns is a catalog of postsecondary distance learning courses offered by participating Iowa colleges, universities and other education-related entities. Names of participating institutions can be found by searching the catalog using the "Colleges and Universities Offering Courses" link. All educational institutions that list their classes on this Web site do so voluntarily.
Several postsecondary institutions permit high school students to register for selected courses and receive college credit. These classes are listed on the Iowa Learns Web site with a "NOTE: Iowa high school students can register in this course and receive college credit. Contact this college and your home school district directly for more information." They are also listed on the ILO Web site under the "College Credit Classes" in the left navigation.
