NOTE: This is a 2 part course. You must register for Segment 1 separately. Determine which segment(s) and which semester(s) that the student needs before registering.

Details:

The ILO English 10 Online Segment 2 Course is designed to be the equivalent of one semester of English 10 credit. It includes major units on Autobiographies/Biographies and Novels in which the student can exercise several options. Additional study of poetry and research writing complete the semester. Students are held to rigorous spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization standards in all areas of communication. It is designed to complement English 10 Online Segment 1.

Other Course Requirements:
A student coach is required for each student. Success in a distance learning course is directly related to student engagement. Students will be expected to demonstrate ongoing, consistent evidence of engagement in the course during the first weeks of the class or they will be automatically withdrawn from the course.

This is an interactive Web course that includes collaborative Web opportunities with other students enrolled in the course. Fifteen textbooks are available for loan to students enrolled in this class. At this time, tuition for this course is free due to support for ILO from grants and/or an agreement with the district offering the course.
